Antique of the Week: World War II Fire Truck

This 1941 Ford has a new place to call home, the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum, in Pooler, Georgia.

According to the museum’s website, the rig served at Hunter Army Airfield during World War II. It was refurbished by the U.S. Army and received an apparatus escort as it traveled from Ft. Stewart to the museum on Friday. Read the museum’s press release here.

WSAV-TV reports the truck has authentic hoses and other accessories because of donations.
