According to the person who posted this video, Sulphur Springs Volunteer Fire Department’s Ole “Hullie” was the first engine the department had when it began in 1969, purchased from Bristol, Tennessee.

Very cool. Even more cool that it was kept in such good condition!

Yep, Old fire trucks are cool. When I was with Highlands Fire Dept in Flagstaff AZ we restored a 1946 Mac & turned it into a parade vehicle. Pulled out the hose bed & water tank & put in wooden bench seats for people to sit on. We use it at our pancake breakfast every 4th of July for rides around the village. When I joined in 1985 it was still a frontline engine.I rode tailboard to many a fire on the “OL MAC”.

Actually, the 1936 Chevy/ALF was purchased new and used by the Bristol, Virginia Fire Department, not Bristol, Tenn. as reported in the video. (I drove down and saw this rig when I was in High School in 1977!)
