Fire SUV, Police Car Collide Responding To Middletown, NY Chief’s House

A Middletown, New York Fire Department SUV and a town police car collided Sunday night as they responded to a fire at the Middletown Fire Chief's home.  Keith Goldberg with the Times Herald-Record reportsthe SUV driver, Second Assistant Chief Lou Morse, and the unidentified police officer suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

The fire call came in after smoke alarms awoke Fire Chief Kevin Duggan and his wife.  They were able to get out of the house safely, and crews extinguished the fire which started in the family room.
