Quite a show Tuesday night in Lebanon Valley, New York. That's when driver Rocky Hardcore crashed a fire truck on purpose. It was part of "Eve of Destruction" at Lebanon Valley Speedway. The videos on this page tell the story well. The announcer refers to the rig as being from West Lebanon and the truck has the initials LVAR, which I believe stands for Lebanon Valley Auto Racing.
Rocky’s worked the thrill show circuit for decades, and he’s walked away from more crashes than one can imagine. He explains that tonight, as the final stunt of the all-day “Eve of Destruction” gathering, he will take a fire truck and send it flying over a school bus – the long way, from the school bus’s nose to its tail – and hopefully set a new world record in doing so.
I wished him good luck, placed my camera gear in his traveling van for safety, assembled the D700, and started walking around the infield, looking for action shots.

WHAT A WASTE! of everthing!
that was stupid !!! /// some department could have used that truck for actual fire rescue service // a ture waste !!!!
Oh lighten up. Live a little.
If the truck was replaced by grant money it cant be used by another fire dept.
What a sad end for that rig.
This is about as dumb as it gets……..What a waste….That rig maybe could have gone to a place like Joplin Missouri,a place that lost everything,I guess money talks.
Lighten Up….Live alittle..I think not….
