Two Otto Township firefighters were injured Saturday after their tanker was struck by a car then overturned.
Illinois State Police officials tell the Chicago Tribune the firefighters were headed to a call with lights and sirens. As they attempted to pass one car, another car made a left turn and hit the tanker. The rig overturned, seriously injuring the two firefighters inside.
Police cited the driver of the car for driving without a valid license and not having insurance.
