David Reeves, a Syracuse Fire Department district chief and chairman of department's historical committee, takes us on a tour of Syracuse's 1923 Ahrens-Fox piston pumper. He tells Syracuse.com as it got older, the apparatus was passed to other companies, but it stayed active into the 1950s. IIt's now owned by a local fire engine club which restored it.
