In the video above, the apparatus of Roosevelt Fire District in Hyde Park, New York, were leaving on a call during Hurricane Irene while the fire house itself was flooding.

Meanwhile, a falling tree smashed into a Freehold Township, New Jersey rig. The firefighters inside at the time weren't injured. See the picture and read the story from the Freehold.patch.com here.

Seen on WTEN-TV's Facebook page is a photo of a Centerville Fire District (Ulster County, New York) being pulled from flood waters and a washed out roadway.

This is my video of engine 3! We had one HELL of a day completing our half of our ANNUAL AVERAGE of fire calls in ONE DAY! With an 80+ expected pump outs for the following day Monday, 8/29/11 The reason why I stopped recording was I actually had to jump on engine 4, the open cab Ford, to roll on a seperate call.
