Sunday night was not kind to Marion, Massachusetts Fire Chief Thomas Joyce.
First, there was a fire at the station, and while it was unmanned, the Village Soup reports the rigs were saved by firefighters responding from surrounding areas.
But, as Joyce was headed to the scene, his department SUV and another vehicle collided. He was not injured, but the driver in the other car was treated at a local hospital.
