As Texas deals with wildfire season, one company is building and repairing many of the trucks used on the frontlines.
Pat Siddons with Siddons-Martin Emergency Group tells KSAT.com his business has sent out 30 estimates recently and had an order for 16 trucks for the forest service.
WOAI.com reports the company has a 4-5 month backup for new trucks:
"We've had some customers where they were out fighting a fire, the wind direction changes and pushes the fire on them and they couldn't get out in time. We've had several departments lose their truck completely," [Siddons] said.
