While responding to an incident Saturday night, an AMR ambulance overturned, a Jackson, Mississippi fire truck and oldsmobile collided, and a taxi cab was involved as well.
A total of 10 people were transported to the hospital, according to WLBT-TV. WAPT-TV reports the injuries were all considered non life-threatening.
"Everybody goes through training to operate the vehicles safely. And that's repeated training, not just a one shot type of training," AMR Public Informations Officer Jim Pollard told WLBT-TV. "In AMR's case there a computers on board in every ambulance to tell us how safely the driver is driving," Pollard added.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the collision.
