After 30 years of service and memories in the Dodge Center, Minnesota community, this rig is being retired.

"One of the first memories I remember with this truck…I was in and I fell on my head when I was 5," says Jeremy Dostal with a laugh. He comes from a long line of firefighters who have used this truck.

It's being replaced by a new truck funded with grant money — and as part of the deal, it had to be taken out of service in Dodge Center.

But thanks to Dostal and some research, it's going to find a new home in the Republic of Georgia where firefighters need equipment.

Dostal and another firefighter will head to Georgia with the fire truck in January to help train firefighters there to operate it.
