East Haven, Connecticut residents got their first look at a new $410,000 Smeal last week. EastHavenPatch reports the department was able to save money and time by getting a demonstration model.
The state-of-the-art truck can hold 750 gallons of water, pump that water out at 2,000 gallons per minute and has some 1,600 feet of supply hose.
It's not the only addition to East Haven's fleet. A new ladder truck is due to be delivered next month.
